LAByrinth Theater Company presents
a benefit reading by
ERIC BOGOSIAN
BITTER HONEY II
more underperformed and neverperformed
Bogosiana

June 2 & 3, 2009

Eric Bogosian reaches into his archives and unearths seldom performed monologues from Drinking in America, Sex, Drugs, Rock & Roll, Pounding Nails in the Floor With My Forehead and Wake Up and Smell the Coffee – plus some exciting never-before-performed material.

“I support LAByrinth Theater because they're cool, fun, energized, devoted and fearless. They are not afraid to take big chances and make big theater” – Eric Bogosian, LAByrinth Company Member since 2005.

Performances take place at THE PUBLIC THEATER
425 Lafayette Street (by Astor Place)

The third novel by award-winning playwright and actor Eric Bogosian,
Perforated Heart is a meditative and lacerating portrait of a writer who has
 grown from a callow young
man to an aging literary lion.
Drawing on his own experiences and observations in the vortex of New York’s
downtown underground arts scene in the ’70s and ’80s, Bogosian brilliantly traces the
evolution of an artist and makes a powerful commentary on the dynamic between creativity  and commerce, the psychological cost of ambition and fame, and the self-flagellating  temperament of the artistic ego.
